USA Hockey National Tournament Week

National Tournament week is here! This is the grand daddy of 'em all, this is what teams buy into at the beginning of the season and train for in the off season. I love this week! This week brings out the best and worst of teams. There is a heavy pressure, the pride of the front of the jersey presents a certain swagger that wasn't present during the regular season and a hopefulness of coming home with a title and a banner. USA Hockey National Tournaments showcase talents and strength of hockey from all over our nation; thus it is an opportunity and experience for USA's youth, girls', women's and junior hockey, something they will never forget; I know I haven't. 

Having been to the U19 Tier I National Tournament 4 years in a row, I can only hope that I have an impact on the sport of hockey enough to help more players reach this tournament. What an environment! I just can't help but get pumped every year and even though I'm not there, I'm rooting for all of the teams that made it. However, there are two programs at Tier I & Tier II Natioansl this year that are always close to my heart and a huge part of who I am.
